Isaac Fairbairn

BA

Isaac was raised in England, New Zealand and Canada, and received his BA at the University of British Columbia (UBC) in English honours, with a Minor in Philosophy, in 2020. During his MA in English literature, completed with distinction in 2022 and funded by a large national scholarship (the SSHRC graduate research grant), Isaac presented his research at an international conference in Amsterdam and held two successful teaching assistant positions. Following a 99th percentile Law School Admissions Test (LSAT) score, Isaac is getting ready to begin the next stage of his career and start law school in the US in 2023.

Isaac has extensive experience with the English discipline and academic writing, having finished two substantial theses and served as the Senior Editor at the UBC Journal of Historical Studies. He also has two years of experience helping a range of students improve their reading, writing, and critical thinking skills.

When not teaching, Isaac is snowboarding at Whistler, exploring new restaurants in Vancouver, or playing soccer!
