About Rasul Learning Group
Rasul Learning Group is one of Canada’s premier educational consulting and coaching firms and was founded out of Zahra’s lifelong commitment to learning and passion for helping others on their academic journey. This passion stems directly from her family’s influence and orientation towards education. Zahra’s parents, Firoz and Saida, have served as leaders in the community and in the field of education, as Directors on the Boards of the University of British Columbia and Simon Fraser University, and now as President of the Aga Khan University. The Rasul family legacy of promoting academic excellence combined with social responsibility inspired Zahra’s educational and professional journey. Zahra’s unique experience has taken her from inside academia, both as a professor and within admissions, to consulting with students at all age-levels. It’s this inside experience and understanding that led her to found Rasul Learning Group. Over the years, the firm has grown from traditional tutoring and high school advising into a flourishing business comprised primarily of admissions work.
Operating since 2001, Rasul Learning Group offers a range of professional services related to private educational preparation. With proven expertise in areas such as U.S. College Admissions, AP course tutoring and standardized test preparation, Rasul Learning Group has assisted hundreds of students and families in pursuing their educational and professional dreams.
At Rasul Learning Group, we believe in inspiring students to achieve excellence. This inspiration is grounded in support and guidance from our consultants in partnership with students and families. Unlike other educational consulting firms, we take a hands-on approach to all of our services, building long-term relationships and providing comprehensive guidance in all areas of educational endeavour. We do not use “cookie cutter methods” to secure admission or teach material; rather, we formulate personalized educational plans and services to meet the specific needs of students. Our consultants and specialists will come to you and work with your child inside your home, allowing parents to be equally involved in every critical stage of educational development. Furthermore, we use a selective process to limit the number of students we work with each year to ensure quality personal services for each client. Rasul Learning Group works with a significant number of prefects, head girls/head boys, and other student executive members of almost every major private school in the Lower Mainland.
Rasul Learning specialists work primarily on the West Side of Vancouver but we accept clients from all over Canada, the U.S. and abroad.
Since the inception of Rasul Learning Group, we have enjoyed a 100% success rate with students gaining admission to their schools of their choice. Over 98% of our students maintain long-term (over 5-8 years) relationships with Rasul Learning Group, and we often work with entire families with multiple students to form close mentorship relationships. We believe that inspiring students to achieve excellence does not stop in the classroom; it translates into each part of their lives. We are privileged to have been a part of so many of these lives over the years.
At Rasul Learning Group, our business is driven by a strong ethic of social responsibility. We participate in community seminars that offer advice to groups of students, such as the Aga Khan Education Board Graduate Application Seminar, written and delivered by Zahra Rasul annually at the Ismaili Centre in Burnaby, BC. We have provided complimentary tutoring services for the YWCA in their Young Tupper Parent Program to assist teen mothers to complete high school. We also offer discounted services to families who do not have the wherewithal to pay full rate.
Started in 2011, the Rasul Learning Group Admissions Assistance Scholarship is central to our commitment to give back to the communities in which we live. Every year, we select one student who demonstrates leadership in academics, athletics and fine arts, and/or community service, as well as a need for our services to guide them through the American college application process.
